Palo Alto announced a 'Time Trial Challenge' to occur on the same day as the Prologue on Feburary 17th.
Time Trial Challenge:
- Experience of a Lifetime
- Rub Shoulders with athletes
- Time yourself against the Mayor, your neighbors and pro athletes.
- Challenge your friends, workmates and business competitors
- Donations to Palo Alto Rec. Foundation (a nonprofit, publicly supported grant making foundation to support youth programs)
- Celebrity Challenge between media personalities.
- Minimum Bid of $500
- Top 25 donors will have the opportunity to ride the official UCI route.

It's not often you get city streets closed off to just you and other bikes. I'd consider entering if I wasn't working the camera... and if I were a better rider ;).
